Bringing Imagination
To Reality

Hamburg Maschinen is an engineering, fabrication and machine-building company. Since 2018 we have designed and built custom industrial machines, engineered systems and precision metal structures for organisations whose requirements sit outside what catalogue equipment can serve.

Our Journey

From a German headquarters and a Pakistani workshop to a three-country engineering organisation, and back to Germany in 2027.

  1. 2018

Founded in Hamburg, built in Pakistan

Hamburg Maschinen is established with its headquarters in Hamburg, Germany, and a manufacturing facility in Pakistan. Mechanical design, fabrication and assembly start under one roof, with the first structures and machine bases produced to drawing.

  2. 2019

    First hydraulic test benches

The first hydraulic test benches are delivered to vehicle-maintenance workshops. Acceptance against measured pressure and flow, demonstrated before dispatch, becomes the standard for every machine that follows.

  3. 2020

    Adapting through COVID-19

The Hamburg facility closes temporarily during the COVID-19 disruptions. Engineering and manufacturing continue from the Pakistan facility, where National Instruments data acquisition and LabVIEW test software are brought in-house.

  4. 2022

    Corporate office opens in China

A corporate office opens in China to serve clients and suppliers across Asia. Commercial, procurement and project coordination move closer to the supply base while manufacturing continues in Pakistan.

  5. 2023

    Simulation and training systems

The full-motion battle tank driver simulator programme begins. Real-time 3D scenarios, motion platforms and replica operator compartments add a fourth discipline to the mechanical, fluid-power and controls capability.

  6. 2025

From the workshop to the field

The trolley-mounted 150 bar air pressure filling system is launched, extending the range from fixed workshop benches to self-contained mobile equipment for field service and on-site testing.

  7. 2026

    Seven capabilities, one organisation

Mechanical design and fabrication, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical and drive engineering, instrumentation, real-time simulation software and lifecycle support are consolidated into seven capability areas and an eight-stage delivery method.

  8. 2027 Planned

    Reopening the German site

The German site reopens alongside our trusted partners to serve as the European engineering and service base, working with the Pakistan manufacturing facility and the China corporate office, and closing the loop on where the company began.

Purpose & Vision

Everything we design, fabricate and commission is measured against two statements. They set the standard for the work we accept and the way we deliver it.

Foundational purpose

To ensure operational resilience by delivering expert engineering solutions that safeguard our clients' time and resources.

Strategic vision

To cultivate strategic partnerships that empower our clients to achieve operational excellence, predictable financial growth, and competitive market dominance.

Core Values

Engineering first

Every claim we make about a machine is one we can measure. Specifications are validated on the bench before the machine leaves us, not asserted in a datasheet.

Operational resilience

We build equipment that keeps our clients running. Long service life, accessible maintenance, available spares and designed-in self-diagnostics are treated as requirements, not extras.

Ownership of outcome

Single-source responsibility from concept through commissioning. Where several disciplines meet, the interface is ours to solve, not the client's to manage.

Client confidentiality

Drawings, processes, test data and operational information entrusted to us stay with us. Many of our clients operate in sensitive sectors and are treated accordingly.

Practical innovation

New technology is adopted where it measurably improves accuracy, safety, throughput or cost of ownership, never for its own sake.

Transparent commitment

Realistic schedules, honest capability statements and clear escalation. We would rather decline a scope than under-deliver against it.

How We Deliver

A consistent eight-stage route from an operational problem to a commissioned, documented and supported asset. Each stage has a defined output the client reviews before the next begins.

01

Requirement Capture

We start from the operational problem, not the equipment list: what has to be produced, tested, trained or handled, at what rate, to what accuracy, in what space, by whom, and under which safety and site constraints.

Output reviewed by the client: written requirement and constraints register.
02

Concept & Feasibility

Candidate approaches are compared on performance, cost, footprint, maintainability and lead time. The client sees the reasoning and the trade-offs, and signs off a defined concept before detailed engineering money is spent.

Output reviewed by the client: concept comparison and signed-off concept.
03

Detailed Engineering

Mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, instrumentation and software design are developed together. Load cases, pressure ratings, thermal behaviour, duty cycle, control philosophy and safety functions are resolved on paper first.

Output reviewed by the client: drawings, schematics and control philosophy.
04

Procurement & Component Control

Motors, drives, valves, sensors, DAQ hardware and structural materials are specified for the duty and sourced from supported, obtainable ranges, so the machine can still be maintained years after handover.

Output reviewed by the client: component list with supported sources.
05

Fabrication & Assembly

Frames, enclosures, manifolds and assemblies are fabricated to drawing, then mechanically, hydraulically, pneumatically and electrically assembled under inspection.

Output reviewed by the client: inspection records and build photographs.
06

Integration & Software

Control logic, instrumentation, interlocks, safety cut-offs, operator interface and reporting are integrated and tuned on the physical machine, including simulation content where the system is a trainer.

Output reviewed by the client: functional test of controls, interlocks and reporting.
07

Factory Acceptance Testing

The machine is run against its specification and the results are recorded. Performance, safety functions, repeatability and diagnostics are demonstrated before dispatch, and the acceptance data is issued with the equipment.

Output reviewed by the client: factory acceptance test report.
08

Installation, Commissioning & Support

Site installation, commissioning under real operating conditions, operator and maintenance training, documentation handover, spares provisioning and continuing technical support.

Output reviewed by the client: site acceptance, manuals, spares list and support arrangement.

Quality, Safety & Assurance

Our approach to quality is built on measurement and documentation rather than declaration. The principles below apply to every system we deliver.

Measured, not asserted

Rated performance is demonstrated on the machine and recorded. Pressure, flow, torque, speed and temperature are captured with instrumentation, so acceptance rests on data rather than on opinion.

Repeatability by design

Stable operating conditions, such as controlled oil temperature, regulated pressure and servo-controlled speed, are engineered in so that a reading taken today can be compared with one taken next year.

Designed-in self-diagnosis

Where it adds operational value, our machines monitor their own critical components and indicate the faulty element directly, shortening the path from breakdown to repair.

Layered safety

Independent protective functions are specified as a set rather than a single device: automatic cut-offs, mechanical relief, overload protection and clear operator indication working together.

Traceable documentation

Every system is delivered with operating and maintenance manuals, schematics, acceptance results and a recommended spare-part list, so it can be operated and supported by people who were not involved in building it.

Compliance and operating discipline

Equipment is built to be operated in accordance with its manual and the applicable pressure, hydraulic, electrical and workplace safety regulations of the client's jurisdiction.

Operating discipline

Specifications are subject to change without prior notice as part of continuous product development. All equipment must be operated in accordance with its operating manual and the applicable pressure-equipment, hydraulic-equipment, electrical and workplace safety regulations in force at the site of use.

What We Build

Working With Us

Share the operational problem, not just an equipment specification. We respond with a concept, an indicative specification and a realistic schedule, and we will say clearly where a requirement falls outside what we can properly deliver.
